Overview:
The Rulings of Fast Course is designed to provide learners with a thorough understanding of fasting as one of the fundamental pillars of Islam. This course explores the purpose, conditions and types of fasting, along with important rulings such as intention (Niyyah), acts that invalidate the fast, and the handling of missed fasts through Qadha and Kaffarah. Participants will also learn about contemporary issues related to fasting and the proper etiquettes of Sehri and Iftar. In addition to legal rulings, the course highlights the spiritual and physical benefits of fasting, including purification of the soul, self-discipline and gratitude. It covers the virtues of fasting during Ramadan and on special days such as Ashura, Mondays, Thursdays and the six fasts of Shawwal. Learners are also introduced to related acts of worship such as Tarawih prayer, I’tikaf and the rulings of Fitrah and Eid-ul-Fitr. By the end of the course, students will be able to observe fasting correctly according to Shari’ah and understand its deeper spiritual significance in daily life.
Who Is This Course For?
Applicants must be at least 15 years old and able to read and write Urdu.
